What is Easter About?
Easter is the celebration at the heart of the Christian faith. It’s the story of God’s love for the world and the hope He offers to every person. Easter isn’t just a holiday—it’s the good news that changes everything.
God sent His Son, Jesus, to show us who He is and how much He loves us. Jesus lived a perfect life—full of compassion, truth, and grace. He taught people about God’s kingdom, healed the hurting, and invited everyone to trust in Him.
The Bible teaches that all people fall short of God’s perfect standard. Sin separates us from God, and we cannot fix that on our own. This is why the cross matters so much.
Jesus willingly went to the cross to take our place. His death wasn’t an accident—it was an act of love. On the cross, He carried the weight of sin and opened the way for us to be forgiven and restored to a relationship with God.
Easter morning celebrates the moment everything changed. Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the grave. His tomb was empty. His disciples saw Him alive. This wasn’t just a miracle—it was the victory over sin, death, and darkness.
The resurrection proves that Jesus truly is who He said He was: the Son of God. It means that death doesn’t have the final word and that new life is possible for all who believe.
